Whisenhunt Hired

Ken Whisenhunt has agreed to become the 17th head coach of the Tennessee Titans in their history. Whisenhunt was long thought to be the next head coach of the Detroit Lions. So much so that the Lions had their private jet fueled and ready to go to pick up Whisenhunt.

Whisenhunt a former head coach of the Arizona Cardinals who led his team to the super bowl and eventually lost to the Pittsburgh Steelers, was thought by many to be the best candidate available.

One of Whisenhunt's best traits is his ability to work a develop quarterbacks. He was Ben Roethlesberg's offensive coordinator in his first two seasons and he has also worked with Kurt Warner and now Phillip Rivers. He will begin a project to take over 3rd year quarterback Jake Locker's offense and in Locker's 3rd year the team will decide if this will be their franchise Quarterback.
