Ireland Out in Miami

After meeting with ownership over the last few days the Dolphins and general manager Jeff Ireland have decided to mutually split ways.

Ireland was in trouble after the in season scandal between Jonathan Martin and Richie Incognito. Incognito was accused of taking hazing to far and Martin supposedly had reached out for help with how bad things had gotten. Martin ended up leaving the team and not returning after his allegations and Incognito was suspended.

Ireland has been under scrutiny from many of his former players about not looking out for them. He was accused of asking current Dallas Cowboy Dez Bryant if his mother was a prostitute during a pre draft work out. In 2011 fans flew a plane over the stadium asking ownership to fire Jeff Ross.

Ireland is finally out now as general manager and the Dolphins will begin to search for his replacement. Sounds like Ross is going to cast a large net and many people seem to be interested in this job. Two favorites that were currently on the staff are Brian Gaine and Dawn Aponte who is close friends with Scott Pioli.

Either way these upcoming weeks could be really telling for other GM and pro personnel decisions throughout the entire league.
