News of the Morning

Miami Dolphins owner Stephen Ross is contemplating letting 2nd year offensive coordinator Mike Sherman and general manger Jeff Ireland. Sherman is facing scrutiny about the way the team struggled down the stretch while Ireland's firing would be more about the issues with Incognito and Martin.

As for the New York Giants ownership they view things much differently. They feel patience is needed and that after starting the season 0-6 and finishing 7-3 that this coaching staff and general manager needs more praise. It has been made known that Coughlin will be brought back and Jerry Reese's job is safe even with him struggling to hold onto or developing mid round picks. The Giants have failed to develop or locate talent in the 2nd-4th round of the NFL draft which has hurt this teams depth. Today they ownership meets with Coughlin to discuss if his coaching staff will stay intact.

Josh McDaniels is interviewing for the Cleveland Browns head coaching vacancy today. Rumors on Black Monday was that he is the coach the Browns covet the most. They still have other interviews to do throughout the week and next but if McDaniels is a hit today that search could come to an end very fast.
