Dungy to Return to the Sideline?

Tony Dungy during the Dan Patrick Show this morning stated that he thought the Detroit Lions job was the best available job out there currently.

Dungy who last coached in 2008 for Indianapolis Colts and Peyton Mannying is a Jackson, Michigan native and has Lions fans excited as a possible coaching candidate.

When Patrick asked him if he would be interested in a job like the Lions he said “That’s the job I would want. I think they're closest to the Super Bowl. You look for a franchise quarterback in this day and age, you want to have a passing game because this game is all about passing, and you want people who can rush the passer and protect the lead. Detroit's got all that.”

It remains to be seen if the young 58 year old will make a return to the sideline but he certainly sparked many Detroit minds this morning.
