Another Giant Down

Announcing on twitter just a few minutes ago Brandon Jacobs the long time Giant running back has decided it is time to retire. He spent 9 seasons in the NFL and 8 with the Giants.

The Giants selected Jacobs in the 4th round of the 2005 draft and while with the Giants he split time with Tiki Barber and then a slew of other backs came and went but most notably was the time spent with his "brother" Ahmad Bradshaw who he mentored and grew with throughout their years with the Giants. Jacobs who returned to the Giants this season after a year with the 49ers came back and wanted to retire a Giant and now he felt was the right time.

Jacobs will finish 4,856 yards rushing 56 rushing TDs.
