Team Needs: New York Giants

New York Giants- The reigning Super Bowl champions looked as if nothing had changed from the prior season. They were playing every game close and hoping Eli would have the final possession to drive for the win. But that magic didn't carry over into the 2012 season. A scary defensive line seemed some what average, an aggressive passing attack took games off and the secondary had trouble covering anyone. They still only missed making the playoffs by just one game but will need to shown significant improvements next year.

Key Statistics 2012:
Total Offense: 14th
Passing Offense: 12th
Rushing Offense: 14th
Passing TD/INT (ranks): 26/15 (T-11th/T-16th)
Rushing TD: 5th
Sacks Allowed: 32nd
Total Defense: 31st
Passing Defense: 28th
Rushing Defense: 25th
Sacks/INT (ranks): 33/21 (22nd/T-3rd)

Free Agency:
Key Losses: RB Ahmad Bradshaw, DE Osi Umenyoria, DT Chris Canty, S Kenny Phillips, LB Michael Boley, LB Chase Blackburn, TE Martellus Bennett

Key Additions: DT Cullen Jenkins, DT Mike Patterson, CB Aaron Ross, LB Dan Connor, WR Louis Murphy, TE Brandon Myers

Draft Needs:
Cornerback: Terrell Thomas coming off a third ACL injury, Corey Webster struggled all year, Amukamara and Hosley are promising young corners. Unless the right corner fell to them I can't see then using a first round pick here because the meat of this talent pool is in the second and third round. Hosley is a very good slot corner and the Giants love physical corners, so I expect one of the over sized corners will be high targets for the Giants.

Offensive Line: The left side with Will Beatty and Kevin Boothe is fine for years to come. Chris Snee is still a very good player at right guard but he has been having durability concerns and is now 31. I think James Brewer is ready to step up at take over at right tackle but depth and possibly an eventual replacement at center could be drafted. I think Barrett Jone's versatility makes him a great choice for the Giants.

Linebacker: The Giants haven't drafted a first round linebacker since Carl Banks and have only drafted 1 second round linebacker since 93'. I think theuyy liken their young core and are ready to let them take the field but depth and an upgrade at inside linebacker and outside opposite Williams.

Wide Receiver: This becomes a need based on Cruz. Rueben Randle made great strides to end the 2012.season and I think would be ready to start opposite Nicks. Jernigan has struggled in the slot role and Nicks will be in his final year of his contract so I could see them taking a we if the right one falls in their lap.
