Pre Draft Rankings

These are our pre draft rankings of the offensive skill positions. As the week moves on we will be posting the "men of the trenches" rankings as well as the linebackers, corners and safeties.

Quarterback:
1. Geno Smith
2. Ryan Nassib
3. Matt Barkley
4. Tyler Wilson
5. E.J. Manuel

This years quarterback group does not post the unique talent of the last few years. There is no Andrew Luck, RGIII, Cam Newton or even a Sam Bradford. I view this class to be very similar to the 2010 class. There is one starter worthy QB in Geno Smith, one team will trade into the late first and select either Nassib or Barkley just like the Broncos did for Tebow and one team taking a chance on Nassib like the Panthers did with Clausen.

Running Backs:
1. Eddie Lacy
2. Montee Ball
3. Andre Ellington
4. Jawan Jamison
5. Marcus Lattimore

This class will have a chance to be the first class to not have a running back selected in the first round. I do think this class has talent but all of these players contain question marks. This will be a theme throughout this draft.

Wide Receiver:
1. Tavon Austin
2. Cordarrelle Patterson
3. Justin Hunter
4. Keenan Allen
5. Robert Woods

Wide Receiver is one of the deepest positions in this draft. There is quality receivers you will be able to get as late as the 3rd and 4th rounds. Just look at the analyst rankings across the internet and you'll see that no one person has the same top 5. Tavon Austin to us though provides so many different dimensions for your team that he is far and away our favorite receiver.

Tight Ends:
1. Tyler Eifert
2. Zach Hertz
3. Gavin Escobar
4. Jordan Reed
5. Travis Kelce

Tyler Eifert is a match up nightmare and Zach Hertz is a well polished player who played in a pro style offense. After those two most of these tight ends will fit more of your spread highly athletic tight ends but all come with question marks on their hands, blocking techniques and size.
