Team Needs: New Orleans Saints

New Orleans Saints- The Saints in 2012 was a team with very low expectations. After their bounty scandal incident, losing their mastermind head coach, Sean Payton, and having key players suspended on their defense left them in a difficult situation. The Saints still at times showed how potent their offense can be, but it wasn't as lethal without Payton calling the plays.

Key Statistics 2012:
Total Offense: 2nd
Passing Offense: 1st
Rushing Offense: 25th
Passing TD/INT (ranks): 43/19 (1st/3rd)
Rushing TD: T-21st
Sacks Allowed: T-29th
Total Defense: 32nd
Passing Defense: 31st
Rushing Defense: 32nd
Sacks/INT (ranks): 30/15 (T-25th/T-14th)

Free Agency:
Key Losses: OT Jermon Bushrod, DT Sedrick Ellis

Key Additions: CB Keenan Lewis, OT Jason Smith, TE Ben Watson

Draft Needs:
Offensive Line: Losing Jermon Bushrod leaves this team with a gaping hole at left tackle. The Saints have lost a major part of their offensive line the last two season and need to address that in this draft. Whether it is at guard or tackle they'll address this need early and look to add depth later.

Defensive Back: This was the worst defense in the history of the NFL, with a historically bad passing defense. This team needs upgrades at corner and safety. Keenan Lewis is a quality corner on one side but a counterpart is needed. Roman Harper is not a starting safety in this league and with how good the safeties are in this draft, more than one will be selected.

Defensive Line: The Saints are moving to a 3-4 defense and because of that will need to add defensive lineman who will fit their new scheme. There are some very good nose tackles in this draft and I can see them targeting one on the second round. There are also some very athletic defensive tackles that can play the ends in the 3-4. This is another area I can multiple picks being devoted to.

Wide Receiver: They drafted Nick Toon last year and I think he'll see a lot of play time this coming season. They have Colston and Lance Moore but I can see them possibly adding another big wide receiver if the right player falls to me.
