Need a Quick Answer?

Every Tuesday I am going to give you a couple of players to target for the week to add as potential fill ins for your team. Most of these guys are low end players who are quick fill ins during bye weeks or for an injured star. My league percentages will be based off of NFL.coms availability percentage.

Quarterback:
1.) Joe Flacco (Owned in 17.2%) vs Pittsburgh: Baltimore and Pittsburgh is always a great game but these two teams are coming in a bit differently than they have in years past. Both are younger on defense and in transition and I think Flacco can have a big game. I see him throwing around 40+ times again and we saw what Brian Hoyer did against the Steelers secondary in the 2nd half. Flacco is a top 15 QB this week for me and definitely a starter in 2 QB leagues.

2.) Ryan Tannehill (Owned in 58%) vs Buffalo: Tannehill has a chance to have a nice game against the Bills who were vulnerable to the deep ball. That is where his biggest weapon comes in. He had one very good game against them last year and one very quiet game. I think he has the latter this weekend.

3.) Jake Locker (Owned in 2.5%) vs Dallas: Dallas's defense is bad and Locker when healthy has top 10 potential at the QB position. The fact that he is owned in just 2.5% of leagues is crazy he should be your #2 and I would be starting him over the likes of RGIII this weekend.

Running Back:

1.) Shonn Greene (Owned in 31%) vs Dallas: He is a starting running back in this league, their are more backups owned then him. He isn't losing the starting job anytime soon and he looked good in his first game. He gets a great matchup in the Cowboys this week. He is a RB3 for me.

2.) Justin Forsett (Owned in .1$) vs Pittsburgh: Rookie Terrence West went 16 for 100 against this defense. Forsett went against a much better Bengals defense and almost reached 100 yards. He is now the starting RB in Baltimore with Pierce not playing well and Rice kicked off the team. In this offense he has RB2 upside.

3. Terrence West (Owned in 74.4%) vs New Orleans: New Orleans actually did a decent job against the Falcons RBs but that was mainly because they couldn't stop the passing attack. Depending on how long Tate's injury keeps him out for he should be owned in all leagues.

Wide Receiver:

1.) Kelvin Benjamin (Owned in 36.5%) vs Detroit: Tough to tell if Detroit's secondary is that much improved or Giants offense was that bad. Seems like Cam is back this week and this was his favorite target in the preseason.

2.) Greg Jennings (Owned in 27.4%) vs New England: I think Patterson will have to deal with Peterson most of the game and Jennings is Cassel's go to target. Last year when Cassel took over as the QB Jennings was a WR3.

3.) Markus Wheaton (Owned in 20.6%) vs Baltimore: Last year the Steelers had 3 receivers in the top 36 only one other team had that and it was the Broncos. Wheaton is a legitimate threat in this offense and has WR2 upside. Tough matchup this week but I like him all season long.

Tight End:

1.) Antonio Gates (Owned in 54%) vs. Seattle: He has an extremely difficult match up but when healthy and in the lineup he is still clearly Rivers favorite target. Green isn't taking over for him any time soon and is still a top 12 tight end.

2.) Larry Donnell (Owned in .1%) vs. Arizona: Giants offense is miserably but Donnell was a bright spot. Last year the team underwhelmed at tight end but in years past they have had fantasy relevant players there and he might be that guy. Top 15 potential here.

Kicker:

1.) Cody Parkey (Owned in 5.5%) vs. Indianapolis: He is the starting kicker in a high powered offense needs to be owned.

Defense/Special Teams:

1.) Houston Texans (Owned in 25.5%) vs Oakland: This defense is the real deal and next week they face a rookie QB.
