"This Is Not My Son"

Normally, when I provide links for a particular article I'll just put it in my daily round up. But I read this article after last nights post and didn't want to wait the whole day to share it.

Something is clearly wrong with Titus Young. Three arrests in a week, suspicious activity involving him prior to his latest arrest and issues when he was on the Lions have cause his family and members around the NFL and his high school coach great cancer.

Some say it was from his concussion and that it possibly may have triggered a mental disorder. Some think he may have gotten into some sort of drug use.

Whatever the case may be, Titus Young clearly needs help. Whether its fellow wide receiver Brandon Marshall who was diagnosed a few years ago, who thinks he needs to be dealt with the right way because far to often we brush mental illness under the rug. He says Titus shouldn't be scared to get help, to many put a stigma on mental health but there shouldn't be one.

Or, Torrey Smith of the Ravens who tweets "Prayers up for Titus Young right now...he is going thru something that seems easy outside looking in to handle...we don't know his problems".

Even Titus' high school coach says something is different about Titus and he is a young man in desperate need of help. Whatever the case may be I hope for the best for this young man. Football is secondary to him, first should be his life.
