Aaron Curry announced via twitter today that he is now a New York Giant. Curry, 27, was drafted 4th overall by the Seattle Seahawks after putting together an excellent college season and impressive combine numbers. Curry has never lived up to expectations and was traded from the Seahawks to the Raiders for a 2012 7th red pick and a 2013 5th round pick. The Raiders then ended up releasing him after he had trouble staying healthy.
The Giants had a hole at linebacker and have opted to once again pursue bargains in free agency to fill needs. This is back to back years they have acquired former first round draft picks (Keith Rivers), while they haven't drafted a first round linebacker since Carl Banks.
