McClain Done At 23

Rolando McClain, 23, informed Ozzie Newsome that he plans on retiring. McClain signed roughly one month ago as a potential replacement to Ray Lewis.

McClain was drafted number 8 overall in the 2010 draft by the Oakland Raiders. In his short two season stint with the Raiders he seemed to constantly be in the news.

Arrested 3 times in tbe last 11 months the Raiders could no longer deal with the character
issues and lack of production released McClain.

This is another young high profile troubled athlete like Titus Young and the NFL needs to find a way to reach out to these young men. Hopefully, McClain is making this decision for the right reasons. He finishes his career with 244 tackles, 6.5 sacks and 1 interception.
